Melbourne By Bike is looking for casual bike tour guides. We run 4.5-hour tours (10am to 2.30pm) around the city from our shop in the Docklands. The successful applicant will be available for regular Saturday tours all year-round, as well as some other tours during the rest of the week. They will be passionate about Melbourne and cycling. Overseas travel experience, bicycle maintenance, a second language, working with children card, photography and first-aid skills are desirable but not essential. We provide training on the route, history and other stories we tell guests along the way. Many of our guests are from Holland. America, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, New Zealand and Britain are other key countries for us.
The successful applicant will be confident, well-spoken, passionate and interested in people and everything about Melbourne.
The position would suit a retiree keen for some exercise, outings, interaction with interesting overseas guests and extra retirement income.
